No Description The South West Design Forum, in partnership with Universities South West (Bath Spa University,Arts University College Bournemouth and Plymouth University) and the National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship invite you to enrol in this pilot initiative that will have national importance.

If you are based in the West of England, Devon or Dorset and have first-experience and knowledge to which all design students aspire then we want to hear from you. You can begin to shape the future health of our industry and your own business.

You know the problem, you’ve been there after all. Aspiring students find it difficult to get enough commercial insight and exposure to professional practice. So how about helping a budding young designer in a new, easy and manageable way?

All you have to do to become an offical South West Design Mentor is commit to giving four 1-hour sessions over the next year (April 2010 – May 2011) with a design student.
The South West Design Forum will hand pick and set you up with your student ‘buddy’.
We will even give you the training you need and suggest the subject areas to discuss in each of your sessions. We will provide the necessary review forms to help you and your buddy monitor progress.

Enrolling as a Design Buddy mentor can significantly help to close the graduate skill-gap without committing to employment or work-placement and without even leaving your business premises. And you never know – you might even learn something as well.

All you need to do is register. DOWNLOAD AN APPLICATION FORM HERE
