SEE - POLICY BOOKLET 2
The understanding and application of sustainability and innovation are expanding, as is the extent of the interconnectivity between the two. In both the private and public sector, design is emerging as the interface between these domains as a tool that can engage stakeholders and align economic, social and environmental considerations.
This second SEE Policy Booklet outlines the rationale behind policy intervention, explores how design can be employed to realise sustainability and innovation, provides illustrative case studies and puts forward policy proposals.
This publication is an output of the European network SEE, which has been engaging with national and regional governments to integrate design into public policy. An electronic copy of the booklet is available to download from the website
