People on the Pengegon Estate in Camborne have drawn up a design brief for a new community centre after designers helped them figure out what they needed to help overcome problems like unemployment, alcohol abuse and child poverty. The Designing Communities project, part of Dott Cornwall, saw SMS questionnaires, social media and even a little cake modelling used to tease out residents’ ideas.
