The Wiltshire Design Network will launch officially on the 26th January 2011 at the Glove Factory in Holt, near Bradford-upon-Avon, from 6:30-8:30pm. The event will include a Keynote speech from John McFaul, creative consultant of McFaul Studio.

Designers from across Wiltshire are invited to become members of Wiltshire Design Network, which will support, promote and develop the Design community in the county. Membership is free and the network will provide Design professionals with access to training, events, industry news, tenders and jobs. The event is being supported by Business Link, the Design Programme, the Glove Factory Studios, Wiltshire Council, Wiltshire College

Designers are also invited to come along to the launch event to meet other designers from the region, members from design networks from across the South West, and representatives of design business support organisations such as the Design Council, Design Business Association, Arts Council England, South West Screen and the Design Programme. There will also be an opportunity to find out about current initiatives within the sector such as Design Buddies and the Sustainable Design Symposium

Keynote speaker John McFaul has worked with Audi, Toyota, Levi’s, Nike, Orange, Vodafone, Nokia, Sony, Samsung, Toshiba, Microsoft, Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, BBC, The Times, British Telecom, IBM, Cancer Research UK, and Red Bull F1. John is also the founding member and Director of the South Coast Design Forum, putting him in an excellent position to talk about the benefits of design clusters and the design industry.

The Wiltshire Design Network will be the seventh regional network in the South West, joining Cornwall Design Forum, Designed in Devon, Dorset Design Forum, Somerset Design Enterprise Network, Gloucestershire Design Network and the West of England Design Forum. All of the regional networks are part of the South West Design Forum, which is the voice of design in the region.
