The Advanced Apprenticeship in Creative and Digital Media is a new qualification designed to give participants the know-how, the experience and the access to key industry contacts.

The programme is designed to develop new digitally savvy talent with great customer service skills who can provide their employers with the competitive edge.

The Apprenticeship has been developed by Skillset, the creative industries Sector Skills Council and is now being piloted by Wiltshire College.

As a Skillset Media Academy partner, the College is recognised as being one of the top 3 training providers for the creative industries in the South West.

The new Advanced Apprenticeship framework launched nationally earlier this year and the College’s business enterprise team is signing up the first host companies. The apprentices will be supported through Creative Wiltshire the creative industries curriculum/business hybrid: www.creativewiltshire.co.uk

The CDM Apprenticeship is designed both for creative industry companies and for larger companies with departments using creative industry skills. Current pathways include interactive media and web design, digital film and tv production, print and photo imaging.

The progamme will be delivered through a combination of remote and e-learning and master classes. The master classes will be open to the sector as a freestanding staff development offer.
