RSSApplications open for the UK’s Young Design Entrepreneur Award 2009 (UKYDE09).
We are seeking the brightest young business talents working in the design industry including architecture, product and furniture design, exhibitions, events and consultants. Individuals needn’t run their own business as long as they can demonstrate their entrepreneurialism within an organisation and applications are welcome from those successful social or not‑for‑profit enterprises in this sector.

Digital Mentors
Media Trust, the UK's pre-eminent communications charity has announced the launch of Digital Mentors, a two year nationwide programme in England funded by the Department for Communities and Local Government and the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills. Running until March 2011, Digital Mentors aims to inspire, engage and support disadvantage and isolated communities across England to get their voices heard through digital media.
Art Review South West
The July edition of the monthly online art magazine for the South-West www.artreviewsouthwest.org is now online. In this issue they pay a visit to the Bristol city museum to see Banksy, the Bristol bad boy turned global art star. What might we expect? Will there be a museum left?
Logo Design gets more Dynamic
Plymouth based website development company Dynamics Web Management has merged into Logo Design & Marketing with immediate effect. Web Dynamics’ managing director Tim Hanbury and its lead website developer, Seb Jordan, have joined the Logo team and will be based at Logo’s offices on the Flete Estate near Ivybridge.

The Campaign for Drawing has one aim: to get everyone drawing!
The Big Draw, their nationwide festival, is a month-long season of events that encourage creative participation. From painting to stop-motion film, or linked activities using music and sound, there can be something for everyone. They want people to host your own event. All you need do is plan and lead your event in a school, castle, church, museum, gallery, library or any other community space, and invite people to join in!
3D Computer Game: Travel in Europe
ArtsMatrix has been contracted to develop part of the content for a 3D computer game Travel in Europe, a project funded by the European Union. The project encourages users to know more about European cities through an interactive game, and our chosen city is Bath.
